Compassion 2.0 will be held in the Conference Center at Mount Madonna Center. This beautiful venue overlooks the Monterey Bay and provides a serene backdrop for our time together.

Mount Madonna is a learning community that provides context for experiential learning, allowing both personal and collective exploration for those seeking a path to peace.

Located on 380 acres of redwoods and grasslands, the peaceful haven is a place where you can step back, slow down, and reconnect to your center, to nature, and to a more authentic flow of life.

You can choose to stay in the Conference Center, with hotel-style rooms or in the Oaks Cabins. See photos and details below. You may add an extra night before or after the conference by reserving a personal retreat through Mount Madonna.

Conference Center Rooms

The Conference Center lodging features hotel-style rooms (without phones or TVs) with 1, 2, or more twin beds. Some include a private bathroom with shower. Others have access to shared (private while in use) bathrooms and showers down the hall.

Community

Mount Madonna is an intentional space for people choosing a lifestyle of conscious self-development. Meals, classes, and common spaces are shared among residents and guests. Selfless service, or karma yoga, and personal and community practice are the methods for personal reflection and creative self-expression, and the foundation for the community.

Yoga Philosophy

For over 40 years, the Center has evolved through the lives of all who study, serve, practice, and play here. Inspired by the living example of a dedicated teacher and master yogi, Baba Hari Dass, the community’s projects and schools formed organically into a vibrant space for all those who consider it a spiritual home. The Center stands as a modern translation of the ancient philosophy and practice of yoga.

As a learning community, the Center provides context for experiential learning, allowing both personal and collective exploration for those seeking a path to peace. An economy of giving, sharing, service, and care offers a viable alternative to the separation and isolation of much of modern life. Life at the Center is both active and reflective, where those things that have heart and meaning structure everyday life.
